Vertex AI in Firebase Renamed to Firebase AI Logic

Google renamed Vertex AI in Firebase to Firebase AI Logic and expanded it with Gemini Developer API support, backend selection, App Check, new firebase/ai SDK, Unity SDK, and hybrid inference. The old firebase/vertexai module is deprecated.

• Renaming occurred in May 2025; product expanded, not replaced
• Gemini Developer API added with free Spark plan
• SDK migrates from firebase/vertexai to firebase/ai and getAI()
• From mid-2026, Developer API calls authorized via Google service account
