Meta starts charging for service messages on WhatsApp Business

From October 1, Meta began charging for service messages on the WhatsApp Business Platform that were previously free, requiring businesses to have a payment method on file. In India, businesses get 1,000 free service messages per phone number monthly, then pay ₹0.115 per delivered message. Meta Business Agent messages are billed by tokens at $2 per 1 million tokens.
