September 2026 Pixel update locks some owners out of their phones

A growing number of Pixel owners report that the September 2026 update prevents them from unlocking their phones even with the correct PIN or pattern. The issue affects Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel 8a, Pixel 8 Pro and other models, and Google has not confirmed a fix.

• Pattern resets after one or two dots are connected
• PIN reads the first digit as a full entry and fails
• Reports cover Pixel 10 Pro XL, 8a and 8 Pro
• Factory reset restores access but erases local data
