Cinema 4D 2026.4 adds ChatGPT, Claude and Codex support via MCP

Maxon has added native support for third-party AI assistants in Cinema 4D through a built-in Model Context Protocol server. Artists can direct Claude, ChatGPT or Codex with natural-language instructions to handle scene organisation, object and material variations, multipass render prep, UV mapping and rigging. MCP is off by default, runs locally and is protected by an access token.

• MCP support is available in Cinema 4D 2026.4 or later on Windows and macOS
• MCP is disabled by default and protected by an access token
• Actions run through Cinema 4D's own API and appear in undo history and a local audit log
• A Cinema 4D iPad app is slated for release before the end of the year
