NaviGate demonstrates onboard precise orbit determination on D-Orbit's ION

Italian space startup NaviGate completed an in-orbit demonstration of NaviCode Caravel, its autonomous onboard precise orbit determination software, aboard a D-Orbit ION Satellite Carrier. Running on the satellite's onboard computer using only raw GNSS data, it reached a best-case formal uncertainty of 5.2 cm, with decimeter-level mean values using GPS-only measurements.
