Nike Kills Off Vaporfly, Debuts $145 Swooshfly Starter Super Shoe

Nike unveiled a new race-day lineup: the Alphafly 4 arrives in October 2026, the flagship Apex in January 2027, and the $145 starter Swooshfly in February 2027. The Vaporfly was absent from the announcement. The Swooshfly uses a five-layer carbon plate and new SkyX foam with 16% more energy return than the Vaporfly 4.
