Alibaba's AliExpress tests Elite VIP membership to take on Amazon

AliExpress is piloting an invitation-only VIP program called Elite for shoppers who spend more than $800 a year on the platform. The test runs in Australia, the U.K., Germany and Spain, with more European markets and South Korea planned next month.
