Google Workspace Lets Admins Set Role Expiration Dates

Google Workspace now allows super administrators to set expiration dates on admin role assignments for users, security groups, and service accounts. Announced September 23, the feature is available to all Workspace customers with a maximum duration of one year.

• Expiration can be a preset like 30 days or a custom date, capped at one year
• Applies to users, eligible security groups, and service accounts
• An organization's primary administrator cannot receive a temporary role
• Service accounts cannot be assigned the Super Admin role
