NASA to Spend $359M on Starliner Valve Redesign, Names 2028 Crew Commander

NASA will invest $359 million to fully redesign the service module valves on Boeing's Starliner and human-rate ULA's Vulcan Centaur rocket. The uncrewed Starliner-1 resupply flight is targeted for late 2026 or early 2027, while the crewed Starliner-2 mission is set for mid-2028 under NASA astronaut Warren Hoburg.
