NASA Names Crew-14 as $946M SpaceX Deal Cements Dragon Monopoly

NASA announced the four astronauts for the Crew-14 mission to the ISS, targeting a spring 2027 launch. Six days earlier, the agency awarded SpaceX a sole-source $946 million extension for three more rotations — Crew-15, 16 and 17 — bringing the total contract value to $5.92 billion and cementing Crew Dragon as the only U.S. crew vehicle.
