Shufti: document reuse drives 65.68% of coordinated KYC fraud
Shufti's Identity Fraud Report 2026 finds document reuse linked to 65.68% of matches between fraudulent onboarding attempts, with shared IPs at 17.67% and devices at 16.64%. Crypto platforms saw the highest fraud share at 22.49%, followed by fintech at 18.36% and forex at 17.18%. Deepfake documents accounted for 80.10% of AI-enabled attacks.
