Early Nvidia advisor claims $1 billion in stock over 1993 vesting error
Eric Gullichsen, an early member of Nvidia's Technical Advisory Board, says a 1993 vesting error left him owed NVDA stock. He calculates that after splits he should have 4.5 million shares, worth about $1.01 billion at Nvidia's Sept. 25 close of $225.07. Nvidia declined to settle.

- A 1996 CFO letter counted only 15,625 shares as vested
- After 480x in splits that equals 4.5 million shares, about $1.01 billion
- His lawyers conceded the statute of limitations had passed; Nvidia refused to settle
