Databricks launches Unity AI Gateway with hard spend caps for agents

At its Data + AI Summit, Databricks introduced Unity AI Gateway, a control-plane layer that automatically halts AI agents the moment they exceed a budget threshold. Over a quadrillion tokens have already passed through the gateway, which also offers cost attribution, unified observability and prompt-injection protection.
