Anthropic launches Claude Opus 5.5: 40% cheaper than Opus 5

Anthropic released Claude Opus 5.5, the first model in the new Claude 5.5 family, optimized for agentic coding and knowledge work. It costs 40% less to run than Opus 5, offers a 200K context window, and is available on Amazon Bedrock, AWS Claude Platform and Microsoft Foundry.
