PewDiePie's free self-hosted image editor does what Adobe and Canva charge for
PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) has added a full image editor to his free self-hosted AI workspace Odysseus, running entirely locally in Docker. It replicates Photoshop and Canva features — generative fill via Stable Diffusion, background removal with rembg, upscaling with Real-ESRGAN, and click-to-select based on Meta's Segment Anything. The GitHub repo has nearly 90k stars.
- Editor runs locally in Docker with no cloud servers or subscriptions
- Generative fill uses Stable Diffusion 3.5 Medium with 2.5 billion parameters
- Background removal, upscaling and click-to-select run on CPU without a GPU
- The Odysseus GitHub repository has nearly 90,000 stars
