US Factories Installed More Robots Than They Hired Workers in 2025

IFR's World Robotics 2026 report shows US industrial robot installations hit 38,500 units in 2025, up 12% year-over-year, pushing the US past Japan to become the world's second-largest robot market. Meanwhile, BLS recorded a net loss of over 90,000 manufacturing jobs, marking the first time robot installations outpaced new human hires.
