Impinj expands mobile RFID ecosystem with Qualcomm, MediaTek

Impinj is pushing RAIN RFID into handhelds and rugged tablets with chipset support from Qualcomm and MediaTek. Qualcomm has integrated RAIN RFID into its Dragonwing Q-6690 processor, while Impinj's Gen2X extension boosts read speed up to 100% and range by over 50%.
