Apple ordered to pay $5.7 billion over phone vibration tech, will appeal

A federal jury in the Southern District of California found Apple infringed Taction Technology's patents covering vibration-based tactile transducer technology used in its Taptic Engine. Apple was ordered to pay more than $5.7 billion in damages and said it will appeal the verdict.
