Crusoe drops $1.25B Boom turbine deal as AI power race intensifies

Crusoe has ended a reported $1.25 billion agreement with Boom Superpower for 29 natural-gas turbines (42 MW each, 1.21 GW total) intended for AI data centers. Boom lost its launch customer but expects about 250 MW of deliveries in 2027 and targets 1 GW in 2028. Crusoe continues sourcing power from GE Vernova and Bergen Engines.
