Taiwan Carriers Lock Multi-Orbit Satellite Into 6G Architecture

Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom and Far EasTone declared multi-orbit satellite integration — combining LEO, MEO and GEO systems with terrestrial 5G base stations — a foundational requirement of their 6G designs at the 6G Summit Taipei on September 23–24. Chunghwa is Taiwan's only operator licensed for all three orbital tiers, while Far EasTone targets a commercial Amazon Leo LEO service in the first half of 2027.
