Virtus secures £2.45bn financing for European data center build-out

UK operator Virtus Data Centres has closed a £2.45 billion ($3.25bn) financing package from a consortium of 13 banks. The funds will support data center expansion across the UK and Europe, including the 78MW Saunderton campus and the London19 project in Slough.

• The package includes a £1.2 billion green capex facility
• Coordinators include BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Société Générale and Standard Chartered
• Virtus operates 14 data centers across four Greater London campuses
• The company has projects in development in Germany and Italy
