Electric trucks cheaper to run than diesel in six of nine EU markets

A new T&E report finds electric trucks have a lower total cost of ownership than diesel in six of nine major EU markets, which account for 46% of new heavy truck sales. Savings reach up to €100,000 in the Netherlands and €85,000 in Germany over five years, with payback in just two years. By 2030, electric trucks could be cheaper to operate in all nine countries analysed.
