HMRC paid Capgemini another £4.2B after vowing to end the relationship

An investigation by The Register and Otnox found that UK tax authority HMRC made 15,726 payments to Capgemini totaling at least £4.2 billion between 2014 and July 2026. The spending continued despite pledges to replace the flagship Aspire outsourcing deal and diversify suppliers.
