Second-gen BYD Seagull: 5-minute charge to 70% and up to 420 km range

BYD unveiled the second-generation Seagull (Dolphin Surf in Europe), now larger, more powerful and with a front trunk. It gets a rear-mounted 127 hp motor, 30 and 39.2 kWh LFP batteries, a 5-minute charge to 70% and 320/420 km CLTC range. The base model starts at roughly $10,000.

• Body is 425 mm longer, wheelbase up 150 mm to 2,650 mm
