Colossal delays woolly mammoth revival to early 2030s

Colossal Biosciences has pushed back the birth of its first mammoth-like calf from 2028 to the early 2030s. The delay stems from scale: instead of 65 genes, more than 150 now need editing, a task the company handles with AI and CRISPR. The goal is a cold-resistant elephant carrying the core traits of the woolly mammoth.
