Disney+ and Hulu price hike pushes streaming past the cable bill

On Sept. 23 Disney raised the price of ad-free Disney+ and Hulu by $2.50 each, to $21.49 a month. The eight biggest US streaming services on their cheapest ad-free plans now total $144.41 a month, roughly 28% above the average $112.70 cable bill reported for 2023.
