Hidden Artery Plaque Found in 1 in 13 Adults Before Age 30

The international REACT study of 16,808 adults found that silent atherosclerosis is far more common than symptoms or routine risk scores suggest. Plaque was detected in 57.1% of participants with no known cardiovascular disease, including about one in 13 people aged 18 to 29.
