Astronomers find radio galaxy with four separate jet outbursts

Using the upgraded Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope, MeerKAT and the Very Large Array, astronomers found a radio galaxy whose central black hole appears to have launched powerful jets on four separate occasions. Four pairs of radio structures are arranged symmetrically around the central galaxy, possibly the first example of a new class of radio galaxy.
