New autferroic materials could speed up microchip encryption TRNGs
Physicists at Rice University have outlined a new class of materials called autferroics that lower the switching energy barrier by nearly two-thirds. Simulations show random number generation speeds rising from under 100 to over 400,000 flips per second, yielding more than a million random bits per second while keeping signal strength intact.
- Autferroic materials cut the switching energy barrier by nearly two-thirds
- Speed rises from under 100 to over 400,000 flips per second
- The generator produces over 1 million random bits per second
- Results passed NIST randomness benchmark test suites
