Samsung starts One UI 9 rollout based on Android 17 for Galaxy phones

Samsung has begun the staged rollout of One UI 9 based on Android 17. The Galaxy S26 line got it first (September 16 in Korea, September 23 in the US), with the Galaxy S25 and Z Fold 7/Z Flip 7 to follow by the end of September. The Galaxy S22 and S21 FE stay on One UI 8.

• Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 ship with One UI 9 preinstalled
• Galaxy S26 Ultra was first in the US to get the update on T-Mobile on September 23
• Galaxy S25 and Z Fold 7/Z Flip 7 will be updated by the end of September
• Galaxy S22 and S21 FE won't get One UI 9 — they've used up four Android updates
