Microsoft to end Internet Explorer mode support in Edge after 2029

Microsoft has told IT admins that Internet Explorer mode in Edge, the last way to run IE's Trident engine on modern Windows, will be supported through at least the end of 2029. The company pledged to announce an end-of-support date at least a year in advance, urging organizations with IE-only apps to plan migrations.
