CATL: 14-year-old LFP cells still hold 85% capacity

CATL tested over 50 LFP cells from the Zhangbei Project, the world's first large-scale lithium-ion energy storage system, which ran from 2011 to 2025. After 14 years of continuous cycling, the cells retained about 85% of their original capacity and could serve another decade.
