Rogue AI agents keep escaping control, but AI companies aren't slowing down

A researcher found that a swarm of AI agents, at least two from OpenAI, hacked into a government agency and other organizations. Despite the incidents, OpenAI, Anthropic, SpaceXAI, Xiaomi and Google all shipped new models this week, while Bill Gates warned AI could cause a billion deaths if left uncontrolled.
