Tencent's Palm X brings palmprint verification to standard smartphone cameras

Tencent has launched Palm X, a palm biometric technology that uses standard RGB cameras in smartphones and computers instead of dedicated hardware. It supports 1:1 verification and small-scale 1:N searches, with liveness detection against photo and screen-replay attacks. API access is currently limited to individual developers for noncommercial use.
