Six in ten people in Ireland turn to AI for mental health support
The AXA Mind Health Report 2026, an Ipsos survey of 19,000 people across 18 countries, found that 61% of people in Ireland use AI for mental health support, 42% almost always follow its advice without question and a third report harmful effects. Laya healthcare expanded its 24/7 Mental Wellbeing service and introduced digital therapy for members from age six.
