Halo Studios Reportedly Planned First Strike Spin-Off for 2027 Before Layoffs Killed It

Insider RebsGaming says Halo Studios was in early development on remakes of Halo 2 and Halo 3, Halo 7 and a First Strike novel spin-off with roughly five campaign missions and a Firefight mode targeting a 2027 release. After Xbox's restructuring, about 30 staff remain and the franchise moved to Activision.
