Netherlands begins moving government PCs from Windows to Linux under DAWO

The Dutch government has started migrating government systems from Windows to Linux as part of the DAWO (Digital Autonomous Government Work Environment) project. It is currently testing an in-house NixOS-based desktop, aiming to drop non-EU software including OS, office tools and cloud services. US sanctions on the ICC and Microsoft cutting off services spurred the move.
