Microsoft moves communications into Brad Smith's legal and corporate affairs group

Microsoft is shifting its communications function out of marketing into the corporate, external and legal affairs organization led by Brad Smith. Brent Colburn was named interim communications leader through December, Frank Shaw moves to an advisory role, and a search for a permanent chief communications officer is underway.
