UK's 'largest supercomputer' delayed over power supply problems

A datacentre in Loughton, Essex, billed as the UK's largest AI supercomputer, will miss its 2027 launch after grid operator UK Power Networks told developer Nscale sufficient power won't be available until the early-to-mid 2030s. The site needs up to 90MW, equivalent to about 315,000 homes.
