Google, OpenAI and Anthropic Form AI Safety Standards Group
Google, OpenAI and Anthropic are moving ahead with a plan to create a self-regulatory AI safety standards body without government oversight, aiming to launch it by the end of the year or early 2027. The group is tentatively named the Standards Authority for Frontier AI, and Sriram Krishnan, a former Trump AI policy adviser, was approached for the CEO role.
