Amazon to invest $3bn in Indian quick commerce by 2030

Amazon will spend $3bn to expand its quick-commerce business in India by 2030, with $1bn going out by end-2027 and $2bn by 2030, Reuters reports. Most of the money funds new neighbourhood warehouses for Amazon Now, growing from about 750 to 1,300 sites by April, plus inventory software and AI demand tools. Amazon holds 6.2% of the market versus 77% for Blinkit, Swiggy and Zepto.
