UK tech salaries rise on AI skills demand, soft skills lose value

According to Michael Page's 2027 Salary Guides, AI and data architect pay in London rose 20% year-on-year, head of AI roles gained 11% and ML/AI engineers 8%. Soft skills dropped out of the top five most sought-after skills, while 59% of hiring managers cite a shortage of skilled candidates.
