Swiss Re: Data center insurance premiums to reach $24.2B by 2030

Swiss Re Institute's sigma report estimates AI data centers account for $91 billion in commercial P&C spending and projects insurance premiums will grow from $10.6 billion to $24.2 billion by 2030. Capex by the five largest US hyperscalers will hit nearly $800 billion in 2026, exceeding $1 trillion globally.
