Zhipu says ZCode removed repository-upload paths after data controversy

Zhipu completed a security overhaul of its ZCode AI coding tool after users said it could upload project data to the cloud without clear consent. Version 3.14.0 removed the RepoWiki feature and the paths used to generate and upload local repository snapshots, and the source code is now on GitHub under Apache-2.0. CAICT found no data in the Alibaba Cloud OSS bucket and NSFOCUS confirmed the bucket was deleted, though full audit reports remain undisclosed.
