Espressif's new ESP32-S31 adds gigabit Ethernet and can run Linux

Espressif unveiled the ESP32-S31 microcontroller with a gigabit Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0 High-Speed host, dual SD slots and a camera interface. Dual 320 MHz RISC-V cores, up to 64 MB PSRAM and a real MMU with Machine/Supervisor/User modes let it boot Linux, with community ports on kernels 6.18 and 7.1.

• Dual RISC-V cores up to 320 MHz, 128-bit SIMD, separate 40 MHz low-power core
• Up to 64 MB PSRAM and 256 MB flash, plus 512 KB on-chip SRAM
• Sv32 MMU with Machine/Supervisor/User modes runs Linux in supervisor mode
