Mastercard and Danske Bank announced Denmark's first fully autonomous AI agent payment on September 21: an assistant booked a coffee tasting on Priceless.com and paid with a live Danske Bank card. The transaction cleared through the bank's standard authorization and settlement rails using Agentic Tokens and Payment Passkeys, with no card number entry or human approval.
