Man spent two years hunting fake LinkedIn jobs, got 60,000 removed

Chicago-area job seeker Jay Jones says he has helped remove nearly 60,000 fake job listings, mostly from LinkedIn, since late 2023, and flagged about 7,000 profiles used in job scams. Scammers use AI to tailor pitches to résumés and hijack verified accounts. LinkedIn says it blocked nearly 90 million fake accounts in the second half of 2025.
