Toronto startup SmartARM uses Meta AI glasses to help prosthetic arm 'see' objects

Toronto-based SmartARM is using Meta AI glasses, the DINOv2 vision model and the Meta Wearables Device Access Toolkit so its prosthetic arm can identify objects and pick the optimal grip. The device recognizes over 365 everyday objects, offers 12–16 hours of battery life, and is in beta in Canada with no pricing announced.
