Nigerian court: Truecaller user consent doesn't cover contacts' data

A Lagos High Court ruled on September 14, 2026 that Truecaller cannot rely on a user's consent to process phone numbers of people in their contacts who never used the app. The court denied damages, however, since the claimants could not prove concrete harm.
