Startup raises $8M to power data centers with supercritical CO2

American Supercritical emerged from stealth with $8 million in funding. It retrofits inefficient simple-cycle gas turbines at data centers with supercritical CO2 units that can boost efficiency by up to 50% without adding emissions or water use. Its first product is a 10-megawatt unit.
